Rules:

  1. All exhibits must be grown in the current year and part of the FFA members' project.
  2. Entries are limited to one in each class per exhibitor. All entries must be submitted by August 15, 2008.
  3. There is a limit of four premiums in this division.
  4. Variety of seed must be given when entry is made.
  5. There will be a class champion.
  6. Exhibitors must furnish their own glass jar for classes 903 through 912.

FARM SHOP DIVISION

Judging: Saturday, Sept. 9, 4 p.m. Gillette Building

Rules:

  1. Each exhibitor may make two different entries in each class in this division. All entries must be submitted by August 15, 2006.
  2. Exhibits are to be a part of the member's project and made during the current year and made in school farm shop.
  3. For projects that cannot be exhibited, a poster with at least two photographs of the project will be permitted.
  4. All shop projects will be judged on the following basis:
  5. In a class having only one entry the judge shall grade the entry on its merit.
  6. All welds must be visible in small, medium small, medium large and large welding projects.

Concrete float, feed scoop, hay hook, hog hurdle, hog trough, mineral feed box, nail box, saw horse-open, saw horse-solid top, tool fitting panel, welding panel, wood tool carrier, metal tool box, welding project, labor saving device, oxyacetylene welding and cutting, small electrical project, tractor drawbar pins, small forging project, small metal machining project.)

(Ex. Barbecue grill, grain feeder, hay feeder, labor saving device, lawn chair, sheep trimming stand, shop electrical project, tool board, tool cabinet, welding-bronze, welding-acetylene, welding-arc, welding table, air compressor, jack stand, mechanic's creeper, mailbox post, post driver, mechanic's stool.)

  1. Medium Large Wood Projects
  2. Medium Large Metal Projects

(Ex. Feed cart, labor saving device, picnic table, welding project, work bench, two-wheel garden tractor trailer, four-wheel garden tractor trailer, lawn and garden equipment.)

  1. Large Wood or Metal Projects

(Ex. Hydraulic press, multiple cylinder engine stand, log splitter, hog house, hog self feeder, labor saving device, two, four, six-wheel trailer, wagon gear, wagon box, hay rack, welding project.)

  1. Non-agricultural Projects

(Ex. Furniture, clocks, lathe work, wall hangings, lamps, carvings, veneer lamination.)
