Show order: Showmanship, Feeder Calves, and Market Steer

Feeder Calf Rules:

  1. All haul-in feeder calves must enter at the north gate on River Street. Unloading and parking will be available behind the show pavilion with additional parking across the river on the north grounds parking area (shuttle service provided).
  2. Entry fee will be $15 per head payable to the Williams County Agricultural Society at the time of weigh-in. Daily gate admission will be charged.
  3. Out of state exhibitors MUST HAVE a certificate of veterinary inspection within 30 days of the fair (a slip for each animal entered). Michigan exhibitors must meet TB requirements for out of state.
  4. All exhibitors shall abide by the rules and regulations regarding livestock tampering and/or misrepresentation approved by the Williams County Agricultural Society.
  5. The decision of the Market Steer-Feeder Calf Committee will be final.
  6. Feeder calves will be shown by weight, 300 to 650 pounds.
  7. All classes will show by weight and/or breed. Five animals must be entered to make a breed class; if not five animals; they will show with Crossbreds. Registration papers are required to show steers in Breed Classes. Crossbred Steers will be shown by weight.
  8. The top two feeders in each class will compete for Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion Feeder Calf.
  9. Premiums for the top five calves in each class will be: 1st-$25; 2nd-$20; 3rd-$15; 4th-$10; 5th-$5.
  10. Premiums for the top two feeder calves of the show are: Grand Champion Feeder - , $250. Reserve Grand Champion Feeder - $150.
  11. Feeder calves hauled into this show only will be released immediately after the show is over.
  12. All premiums will be sent to exhibitors immediately following the fair.

Haul-in market steers to show immediately following Haul-In Feeder Calves.

Rules for Market Steers:

  7. Open to all Purebreds and Crossbreds.
  8. All classes will show by weight and/or breed. Five animals must be entered to make a breed class; if not five animals; they will show with Crossbreds. Registration papers are required to show steers in Breed Classes. Crossbred Steers will be shown by weight.
  9. The top two steers in each class will compete for Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion Market Steer.
  10. Premiums for the top five steers in each class will be: 1st-$25; 2nd-$20; 3rd-$15; 4th-$10; 5th-$5.
  11. Premiums for the top two steers of the show are: Grand Champion Steer - $250, Reserve Grand Champion Steer- $150.

Showmanship

  1. There will be showmanship at the beginning of the Haul-In Show.
  2. All exhibitors who exhibit an animal in the Haul-In Market Steer/Feeder Calf Show may enter Showmanship.
  3. Showmanship classes are 50/50 prize classes. A $5 entry fee will be charged as exhibitor enters showmanship ring. Each showmanship class will have 1 winner. Winner will receive 50% of entry fees paid to class. The other 50% goes to show awards.
